Show My Score Terms of Service

Effective from June 29th, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Show My Score platform — app.showmyscore.com and all associated services (the "Service") — operated by Show My Score ("Show My Score," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Plain‑English promise: Show My Score is an advertising platform for employment opportunities. Students verify their official test scores; recruiters pay to deliver job ads to verified audiences. We never sell or share student data with recruiters outside of applications students themselves submit. We never log into College Board on a student's behalf, never store credentials, and do not retain the source score PDF as a user-accessible document after verification is completed.

1) The Service

Show My Score lets students verify their official standardized test scores (currently SAT) and surface verified credentials on their own private dashboard or, at their explicit choice, on a shareable public profile. Recruiters use the Service to deliver job advertisements to audiences defined by verified academic traits.

The Service may be updated, modified, or improved over time, and features or functionality may be added, changed, or removed.

What the Service is not:

  • Not a candidate database that recruiters can search, query, browse, or filter.
  • Not a CRM where recruiters maintain prospect lists drawn from verified students.
  • Not a referral or sourcing service that hand-picks candidates for roles.
  • Not a place where students are paid for their data, their score, or their profile.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service. Use by anyone under 16 is prohibited and accounts will be removed on discovery.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to receive any payment from Show My Score, including referral rewards. See Section 7.4.
  • You agree to provide accurate information about your age and identity and to keep that information current.
  • If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Age verification. We reserve the right to verify your age at any time, by any reasonable means. If we determine that you have misrepresented your age, or that you are under 16, we may terminate your account immediately, forfeit any accrued rewards, and delete the associated data as soon as reasonably possible.

PSAT and other standardized tests targeted at users under 18 are outside the scope of the Service. We do not verify PSAT scores and do not collect PSAT-related data.

3) Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly at support@showmyscore.com of any unauthorized access or security breach.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our acceptable-use policy.

4) Score Verification

This section describes how score verification works. Read it carefully — the architecture matters.

4.1 Student-initiated verification

Score verification is student-initiated and in-session. You log into College Board yourself, inside a locked-down browser environment hosted by Show My Score. We never see, store, or transmit your College Board credentials. You log in directly to College Board through that environment; we provide the secure session in which the login happens.

By initiating verification, you expressly authorize Show My Score to host the secure browser session through which you access your own College Board account and, on your explicit click during that session, to receive and process the official score report generated in that session solely for verification purposes. This authorization is limited to the specific verification session you initiate, is revocable at any time by ending the session before capture occurs, and does not extend to any access of College Board when you are not actively present.

4.2 Explicit consent for capture

After you have logged into your College Board account, a Show My Score browser extension surfaces a popup asking whether you want to upload your official score report to Show My Score. The capture happens only on your explicit click. Nothing about your score is captured unless you click.

4.3 Processing and retention

When you consent to capture, we receive the official PDF from your College Board session at the moment it is generated. We extract score fields (such as your name, the score values, and the test date) and validate authenticity signals (such as watermarks and metadata). As part of that verification process, the PDF may be stored briefly in secure internal storage while processing and validation are completed. After successful processing, the source PDF is deleted. It is not made available through your account for later viewing or download, and we do not display it to recruiters, redistribute it, or share it with any third party. We retain structured score data and limited verification metadata alongside it.

4.4 No automated or background access

We do not access your College Board account on your behalf when you are not actively logged in and present. We do not run background jobs that log into your College Board account, schedule reverification, or automatically "refresh" your score. Every retrieval of your College Board score happens through your active session, initiated by your click.

4.5 The verification attestation

What you and others see is Show My Score's own structured attestation: "Verified [test], score [X], on [date]." We do not display the source College Board PDF to recruiters or third parties. If a recruiter or anyone else wants the source document, they must request it from you directly — we do not redistribute it.

4.6 Re-verification

Verification is a one-time event tied to your account. We do not require or solicit repeat uploads. If you have a new official score, you may verify that new score through the same flow.

4.7 Accuracy and fraud

You are responsible for ensuring that the score report you upload is your own official document, captured during your own College Board session. Submission of an altered, fabricated, or third-party score report may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to College Board and to law enforcement where appropriate.

5) Privacy and Data

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points:

  • Your profile and verified scores are visible to others only when you choose to share them.
  • You decide if and when to share, via a unique URL or QR code.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your personal information with recruiters except in an application you submit yourself.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Submitting false, fraudulent, or altered score reports, or attempting to verify a score that is not yours.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code or models from the Service.
  • Using the Service to scrape, crawl, harvest, or automatically extract data about other users.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Using the Service to send unsolicited communications, spam, or marketing messages.
  • Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Using the Service in a manner that violates applicable laws, including anti-discrimination laws, consumer protection laws, or laws related to minors.
  • Using the Service or its output for benchmarking or to develop a competing product or service.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7) Additional Terms for Students

These additional terms apply when you use the Service as a student.

7.1 Verification accuracy

See Section 4.7. The score report you upload must be your own.

7.2 Public profile and shareable links

Your verified scores and profile are visible to others only when you choose to share them through a public profile, shareable link, or QR code. We do not make your profile broadly searchable by default, but anyone with the link can view what you have chosen to share until you revoke access. We design shareable links to avoid embedding personal information in the URL itself, but we cannot prevent recipients from screenshotting, copying, or re-posting what they see.

7.3 Applications to job advertisements

When you apply to a job advertisement on the Service, the application materials you choose to share are sent to that recruiter only. You decide what to include in each application.

7.4 Payments to students — 18+ only

Show My Score does not pay any user under 18 years old. This applies to all forms of compensation, including referral rewards, verification incentives, and promotional payouts.

Users under 18 may continue to use the Service and participate in features that involve rewards (for example, the referral program). However, no payment will be issued to a user under 18, and accrued rewards are subject to the payment policy in effect at the time the user turns 18 (which may include rewards being forgone in full).

This rule exists to protect both our users and the platform. We disclose it at every payment-related touchpoint within the Service.

8) Additional Terms for Recruiters

These additional terms apply when you use the Service as a recruiter or on behalf of an organization that posts employment advertisements.

8.1 Ad delivery model

The Service is an advertising platform. You purchase delivery of job advertisements to audiences defined by verified academic traits. The Service is not a candidate database. You do not have the ability to search, query, browse, or filter individual students. You do not receive student data from us except in an application a student has chosen to submit to your role.

8.2 Permitted audience targeting

You may target advertisements by:

  • Verified academic credentials, expressed as bands (for example, "top quartile" or "top half" of verified scores). You may not specify a numeric score floor or any exclusionary minimum.
  • School or set of schools.
  • Major or field of study.
  • Enrollment status or graduating-within window.

You may not target by protected-class proxies, including categories such as ethnicity, religion, ZIP code, country of birth, native language, gender, or graduation year (as an age proxy), or any other trait that is or could function as a proxy for a protected class. Our trait list is the authoritative set of permitted targeting criteria, and we may update it from time to time as the regulatory landscape evolves.

8.3 Audience size and stacking

The Service is designed to display projected audience size as you configure targeting. If selected criteria would reduce the audience below the platform minimum, delivery may be disabled until the audience is broadened. We may also detect, warn against, or disable trait stacking that produces a de facto exclusionary audience.

8.4 Ad copy

Your ad copy may not include score-floor language, age-coded language, or any other language that excludes protected classes. We may review and reject ad copy that fails this standard, regardless of how the audience was configured.

8.5 Reporting

After a campaign, you receive aggregate reporting, such as impressions, clicks, application counts, audience composition (for example, by major or school tier), and fairness metrics. You do not receive individual student data outside applications submitted to your role.

8.6 Applications

When a student applies to one of your roles, you receive the application materials the student has chosen to share. You may communicate with that applicant in connection with their application. You may not use applicant data for purposes such as building a CRM, building prospect lists, contacting non-applicants, or performing bulk export of applicant data.

You may not use any automated scripts, bots, software agents, or similar tools to capture, "scrape," monitor, or bulk-export applicant data or any other Service data. Any such use is a material breach of these Terms and may, in addition to account termination, give rise to claims for damages and equitable relief.

8.7 Your own compliance obligations

If you use the Service in jurisdictions with applicable AI hiring laws (such as New York City Local Law 144, Illinois HB 3773, or the Colorado AI Act) or other employment-discrimination, consumer-protection, or data-protection laws, you remain responsible for your own compliance — including matters such as required bias audits, candidate disclosures, and validation studies. The Service is an advertising platform and does not make hiring decisions on your behalf.

Recruiter warranty of compliance. Recruiters warrant that their use of the Service — including the content of their job advertisements and their selection of targeting criteria — complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, and applicable AI-hiring transparency laws (such as NYC Local Law 144, Illinois HB 3773, and the Colorado AI Act). You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Show My Score from any claims alleging that your hiring practices, your selection of targeting criteria, your ad copy, or your use of verified credentials in your own evaluation processes violate any such laws.

8.8 College Board

You may not represent that Show My Score is affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of the College Board, either in advertisements delivered through the Service or in any other communication.

9) Payment, Taxes, and Refunds

9.1 Recruiter fees

Recruiter use of the Service is fee-based. Fees, payment terms, and billing cycles are described at the point of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated. You are responsible for all applicable taxes other than taxes based on Show My Score's net income. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice (typically at least 30 days).

9.2 Student payments and tax obligations

See Section 7.4. Where applicable, students 18+ who receive payment from the Service are responsible for any tax obligations associated with those payments. We may collect tax forms (such as Form W-9) as required by law before issuing payments above applicable thresholds.

10) Intellectual Property

  • Show My Score and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including all software, design, content, trademarks, and trade dress.
  • You retain ownership of the data you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that data solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • SAT® and PSAT® are registered trademarks of the College Board, which does not sponsor or endorse Show My Score.

11) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be complete, accurate, or current.
  • We do not guarantee that any specific advertisement will reach any specific audience size, that any application will lead to a hiring outcome, or that a verified score will be accepted by any third party.
  • Verification authenticates the score report you upload at the time of upload. We are not responsible for the score as recorded by College Board, for any subsequent rescoring or cancellation by College Board, or for any third party's interpretation of the verified score.
  • The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, employment, financial, or admissions advice.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
  • Show My Score's total liability will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by you to Show My Score in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

13) Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Show My Score from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
  • For recruiters: this includes claims related to your hiring decisions, your use of verified scores in your own evaluation processes, or your advertisements.
  • For students: this includes claims related to the accuracy of documents you upload or the content of your public profile or applications.
  • Show My Score will indemnify you against claims that the Service, as provided by us, infringes third-party intellectual property rights, subject to your prompt notice and cooperation.

14) Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time through Settings or by contacting support@showmyscore.com.
  • We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms, for non-payment, for security concerns, or for misuse of the Service.
  • On termination, your access to the Service ends. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15) Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration

15.1 Informal resolution

Before initiating arbitration, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. The party raising the dispute must notify the other in writing, and the parties will use reasonable efforts to attempt good-faith resolution before proceeding to arbitration.

15.2 Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures (for claims under $250,000) or its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures (for claims of $250,000 or more), rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in Nevada. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

15.3 Class action waiver

You and Show My Score agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.

15.4 Jury trial waiver

To the extent permitted by law, each party waives any right to a jury trial in connection with any action or litigation arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.

15.5 Exceptions

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.

16) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Nevada law applies to any proceedings to enforce an arbitration award or to seek injunctive relief under Section 15.5.

17) General

  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Show My Score with respect to the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will provide notice through means we determine reasonably likely to inform you (such as email or an in-product notification) in advance of the changes taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
  • If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to do so in the future.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
